Project Manager
£60-65k plus car allowance, pension, healthcare

Our client are a leading construction main contractor based in Lancashire. As a result of growth & expansion we are now recruiting a Project Manager to manage projects with a value ranging from £10m - £40M within the new build, refurbishment and Leisure sector.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of Project Manager
• Manage the design process from conception to completion including information flow, budget, value engineering, and designer co-ordination, in line with agreed dates and project specification and ensuring compliance with all statutory bodies.
• Lead and manage all projects to a successful and timely completion
• Implementing the company’s Project Management Plan.
• Compile internal and external reports with the confidence to deliver such reports to external bodies in a professional manner.
• Chair and minute meetings including design and co-ordination meetings.
• Manage timely information requirements, technical requirements.
• Liaise in a professional manner with the client and their representatives.
• Develop and execute an efficient internal communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels of management within the team and the supply chain.
• Lead the Collaborative Planning workshops ensuring buy-in from the project team and key members of the supply chain.

The successful Project Manager will have the following skill set & experience
• Proven track record of project management ideally within new build, refurbishment and fast-track fit out projects, ideally in the hotel and/or student accommodation sectors.
• Ability to compile, monitor and report against contract, short term and target programmes.
• Team player with the ability to nurture and manage the site team, ensuring objectives are met in line with individual roles and responsibilities and PDP’s and that team members are supported in their role.
• A thorough understanding of current health and safety legislation and the ability to communicate and implement the company’s Health and Safety Policy, standards and procedures at a site level.
• Possess a good understanding of the commercial elements of the projects under their control, establishing good working relationships with the commercial team to develop subcontractor packages, advise on technical elements, record variations and maximise project margin.
• Experienced in co coordinating trades, monitoring quality, progress and safety on site
• Ability to compile and implement a project specific community engagement plan and environmental management plan.
• Ability to use ASTA, Microsoft Project or similar, together with cloud-based collaborative portals.
• Willing to travel, north-west and nationwide locations
