The main activity of the role is to work alongside and support the Commercial Operations Manager in developing and maintaining budgeting and forecasting models, Financial Analysis and the identification and implementation of Financial System Controls.

Key responsibilities include:
•Design and implement relevant Financial Modelling tools to enable accurate, timely and flexible budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting.
• Document all procedures and process flows in relation to budgeting and forecasting requirements.
• Introduce and manage budgetary controls and sign off procedures.
• Production of forecasts and financial analysis along with making recommendations to the management board and directorate.
• Risk Management including key client failure in relation to profitability and production of proactive preventative measures.
• Prepare detailed analysis by user group and develop reporting to identify potential client, pricing or scheme risks.
• Produce sensitivity analysis based on market and internal information to provide accurate business planning including the alignment to funding capabilities.
• Commercial Pricing Analysis - establishing a reporting function that enables the business to clearly see the impact of short and long term decision making regarding product pricing has in relation to profitability and lending capability.
• Management of the Bespoke System Calculation Engine, including documentation, testing, efficiency and accuracy enhancements.
•Design and implement system financial controls ensuring an efficient and accurate process for the transactional team to adopt.
• Change management of the Dynamics platform to ensure an accessible platform for both the Management Accounts and Transactional Team.
• Use analytical skills to review, identify, document and, where appropriate, make recommendations for process efficiencies/improvements across all areas of CBS.
• Produce financial feasibility analysis for prospective clients.
• Assist with analysing the CBS Products, in particular the corporate model, including GAP analysis and recommendations on a route to market.
• Provide Commercial Project Analysis to assist future business investment.
• Ad-Hoc Commercial Projects.

Essential Criteria for candidates include:
• Graduate (2:1 or higher) in a numerate degree
• Strong record of academic achievement
• Strong analytical skills
• Advanced MS Office skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, including macros, pivot tables and formulas
• Experience of budget and forecast modelling.
• Dedicated team player with the ability to work well with team members with different skills/knowledge levels and personality types
• Strong problem solving skills and unyielding attention to detail
• Drive, motivation and initiative with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines on a consistent basis
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills at all levels
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to adapt positively to a changing environment
• Proactive and hard working with the initiative to think outside the box.

Desirable Criteria include:
• Accounting qualification
• SQL querying skills
