Sheltered Scheme Manager (Elderly Care)
London, Westminster
Permanent, full time
Salary: £27,325 pa

Our client believes that good homes make for better lives. Inspired by their founder, they are a not-for-profit organisation providing thousands of people with good-quality affordable homes in inner London. They believe in the power of well-planned, well-managed housing to make a difference, building happier lives and resilient communities by focusing on people as individuals, providing them with a range of services, and the opportunity to support themselves.

They are currently looking for a Sheltered Scheme Manager who will provide an on-site sheltered management service to meet the needs of elderly residents. You will develop and maintain supportive relationships with residents, carers, partners service providers and others from the wider community. You will improve outcomes for vulnerable people to enable independence ensuring excellent service is provided at all times.

You will be responsible for dealing with complex tenants cases including those with very limited support to resolve issues enabling the tenant to sustain their tenancy. You will carry out health and safety checks, deal with breaches of tenancy and manage all administrative tasks associated with void properties.

Experience of working with people aged 50+ and understanding their needs is essential, as is experience of working in housing or support. You are expected to have a good understanding of the welfare rights/benefits system and housing management. You must be able to manage budgets, respond to a range of personal problems and coordinate statutory and voluntary agencies to achieve goals.

Please note: this role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
