Post Exchange & Completions Clerk (Conveyancing)
Chelmsford, Essex

Due to internal promotion within the company a role has arisen for a Post Exchange & Completions Clerk to provide support to the fee earners. The successful candidate will have undertaken a similar role or have experience as a Conveyancing Legal Secretary.

Duties for the Post Exchange & Completions Clerk role;-
* Liaise with clients, solicitors, lenders, managing agents and estate agents before and after exchange of contracts
* Exchange contracts with fee earners authority
* Compile completion statements
* Put together the documents required for completion using Word, Excel and a Case Management system
* Conduct all the telephone calls on the day of completion confirming completion to all parties
* Compiling completion letters to all parties involved
* Chase for necessary paperwork required before completion
* Assist and promote the conveyancing department as required

Requirements for the Post Exchange & Completions Clerk role;-
Previous experience of working in a conveyancing department is essential for this role
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your work load
Excellent attention to detail
Proficient IT and maths skills
Good administration skills
Excellent telephone manner along with a "can do" attitude
Pro-active approach

Hours and benefits for the Post Exchange & Completions Clerk role;-
9am - 5pm Monday to Friday with one hour lunch
20 days holiday per annum plus company shut down between Christmas and New Year
