As the Control and Electronics Electrical Project Engineer you will act as a key member of a small team of electrical engineers you will be responsible for supporting various
engineering activities that cover the full product life cycle from initial concept generation through to engineering sign off and production support. Reporting to the Engineering Manager the successful candidate will support a variety of projects ranging from vehicle electrical system design to small integration tasks and
engineering investigations.

Responsibilities

Providing status reports on the progress of individual engineering activities to management
Preparation of harness drawings and circuit schematics
Analysis of electrical and electronic architecture requirements
Produce system and component level requirement specification documents
Engage in system specific design reviews, problem resolution and root cause analysis
Carry out viability assessments of competing technologies and systems
Produce accurate, high quality engineering reports
Provide support to production manufacturing activities
Support vehicle trials and exhibitions as and when required
both in the UK and abroad

Personal Profile

You are a Degree qualified engineer with at least 2 years industry experience, preferably in the field of vehicle or electrical engineering. In order to be successful you will need to demonstrate strong self-motivation, have a good work ethic and be able to operate effectively as part of a small versatile team of
engineers. You need to be adaptable and have a willingness to learn and develop new skills. You must be able to perform under pressure and to tight timescales whilst reporting to management.

Essential Skills and Experience:

A broad base knowledge of low voltage DC electrical systems and CAN bus
Be able to demonstrate a structured approach to problem solving
Have a proven track record of technical project delivery
Effectively communicate information to multi-disciplined engineering team members
Have the ability to interpret vehicle system requirements and propose appropriate design solutions
Willing to travel within the UK and overseas, if required
l\/lust hold a full driving licence and be insured for Business Travel
Hold or be capable of holding security clearance up to the level of SECRET
Desirable Skills and Experience:
A proven history of involvement in the design and development of vehicle electrical systems
Contemporary knowledge of existing and emerging technologies in the areas of vetronic systems
Experience of electrical system Integration and testing
Experience of low volume specialist vehicle design and development
knowledge of VeSys ,Creo Schematics and/or other ECAD systems
Knowledge and experience of using of CAN System analysis and development tools
Experience of working with PTC Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management tools
