The purpose of the Homes Administrator is to provide administrative support to the Home.
Accountable to: Home Manager
Responsible to: Home Manager


a) To undertake all word processing required in terms of letters, reports, data processing, financial records and photocopying for the home.

b) To attend and minute meetings where required.

c) To take telephone messages, make appointments, follow up on queries etc.

d) To maintain and organise a supply of up to date forms, in accordance with policies and procedures.

e) To keep a record of all current forms, correspondence and ongoing pieces of work.

f) To liase with other departments to ensure effective communication.

g) To update administrative forms and systems and ensure accurate record keeping.

h) To ensure office equipment in the home is kept in good working order and to organise necessary maintenance.

i) To ensure that computer skills are kept up-to-date and applied to work.

j) To assist in any other administrative duties that may be required by the manager of the home.

k) To uphold and maintain all aspects of confidentiality related to service users and the business.


a) To report any incident or accident to senior staff.
b) To ensure that CareTech’s policy is positive..
c) To participate in the organisation staff appraisal system.
d) To accept training opportunities when they are identified.
e) To ensure that all information is treated as confidential unless otherwise directed.
f) To cover any duties required by the Company
