The Project Engineer Six Sigma will support the investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution of incidents and issues captured during vehicle or system test, trial and verification.

The individual should have a proven history in incident and issue investigation and engineering capability to resolve basic issues or generation of information to allow SM E's to address component or system issues.

The principal duties of the role include:

Investigate and sentence incidents captured during test and validation
Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action work including:
Support Supplier, Parts and Build quality teams with rectification of quality issues
Determine design issue root cause
Support rectification of design issues either with existing design teams or by generating
new solutions when appropriate
The individual should be in a position to be UK Security Cleared without the requirement for any special exemptions.

Experience, Qualifications & Competency Requirements:


Experience in Root Ca use and Corrective Action (RCCA) execution
College diploma or University degree in a technical discipline
Knowledge of Engineering and Quality Assurance processes
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to work effectively with others with minimal supervision
Able to work effectively and accurately against challenging schedule deadlines
SC. Cleared, UK citizen

Highly Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with issue resolution tools including but not limited to:
5 Why analysis
lshikawa (fish bone) diagrams
Quality Assurance and Quality / Process improvement
Familiarity with tracked military vehicles
Experience in on/off highway or low volume/special purpose vehicles
Broad knowledge of standards and legislation applicable to military platforms
Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
