Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Team Leader required in the outskirts of Harlow

Responsibilities & Duties;

Responsible for the safe effective maintenance and servicing of all plant, static and mobile machinery.
Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance on all plant and equipment with adherence to company procedures, policies, risk assessments, and method statements.
Proactive in seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement.
Performing electrical/mechanical fault finding and diagnosis.
Perform reactive breakdown repairs.
Create and manage a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule to reduce machine downtime.
Supervision and training of the Maintenance Team ensuring effective time management.
Organisation of the workshop, tooling and equipment ensuring serviceability and safe operation at all times.
Managing the spare parts stores, ordering work shop consumables and purchasing machine parts as directed by the Works Manager.
Ensure that plant, machinery and mobile plant are well maintained at all times, serviceable and remain safe to operate.
To ensure the health, safety and welfare of yourself, staff, contractors and visitors to site under your control at all times.
Maintain monthly/weekly servicing records for all machinery as part of the QA system.

Team Leader Duties and Responsibilities;

Represent the Maintenance Team at monthly team meetings.
Allocation of duties, training and supervision of the Maintenance Team.
Ensure cover is maintained for all roles within the factory during periods of absence/sickness liaising with other team leaders and departments.
Ensure that all paperwork is completed and update by you and your team.

The ideal applicant;
Will come from a similar background, with experience of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
A time served Engineering apprenticeship will be a distinct advantage.
Will have recognised electrical and mechanical qualifications.
Previous team leading experience.

Working on a day shift, this will include some Saturdays for planned maintenance

Working up to a maximum of 60 hours per week.

£35-£40,000 pa depending on experience.
