Senior Residential Children`s workers required to join an established childcare provider based within a small homely residential service for adolescents with SEBD in South Birmingham. You will be joining this organisation at an exciting time of growth and expansion and your new job role is expected to commence within the next few months.

You will be employed by a private, established provider of residential care and support on a full time basis. You will work a varied shift pattern to include sleep ins, weekends and bank holidays. Your roster will be based on a rolling rota of one day on, two days off.

The role of senior support worker will require you to work closely with the registered manager. You will lead the shift and offer support, guidance and advice to the young people within your care. You will work closely with the residential support workers and support them with their induction, continued development and ongoing training.

Most importantly, you will act as a role model for the young people within your care. You will support them to make sound life choices, promote education and access to employment and mentor them to develop independent living skills.

Due to nature of this role, you will be employed on a full time basis and be required to work varied shift patterns including sleep ins.

You will hold the QCF level 3 in health and social care (children and young people) qualification. You will have flexibility to work a varied shift pattern including sleep ins and will hold a full UK driving licence, ideally with access to your own vehicle.
