Sales Executive / Business Development

They`re looking for hungry and determined individuals to join their delegate sales function. You will be responsible for helping our clients achieve their objectives and ensuring that they provide the extremely high-quality experience they are renowned for. 

Position: Business Development / Delegate Sales Executive 
Location: Chelmsford, Essex 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Salary: £18-20k basic - OTE £28,500 per annum

About the role: 

As Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying prospects, generating interest and securing participation of industry delegates for a wide variety of conferences and events. Analysing customer feedback, assessing their need and matching their bespoke solutions is also a key part of the role.

About you: 

To be successful in this role, you need to be determined to meet deadlines and achieve set targets and KPIs. You should enjoy using your initiative, persuasion skills and tenacity to engage with and attract the right delegates to their events. 

You need to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can get your point across concisely to people of all levels of experience – particularly over the phone. You need to be organised and professional, as well as working proactively and using your initiative. 

Some experience in sales, business development or lead generation is preferred but not essential; although, you must have evidence of your enjoyment of selling.
