KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :

• Partners with business and technology stakeholders to elicit, analyse,
translate, and document people (e.g. capacity building), processes, and
platforms (i.e. technology systems) requirements
• Analyses, documents and tests program development, logic, process
flows and specifications
• Partner with business users to conduct acceptance testing
• Document user manuals to describe application installation and
operating procedures
• Work with Solution Architects/Developers to ensure the system solution
can be feasibly implemented and satisfies business/user requirements
• Document and act as the subject matter expert on business processes
• Work within a project team to deliver incremental business value to
users following an Agile methodology
• Identify any potential conflicting business requirements or definition
gaps and escalate to project manager to formulate a resolution plan
• Support the prioritisation of design requirements with the project team
with an informed understanding of the impact to the organisation
• Maintain accurate, version controlled, documentation over the project
lifecycle, which is readily available to key stakeholders, and ensure the
knowledge is disseminated

QUALIFICATIONS
• Computing degree - BSc, BA or equivalent experience;
• Business Analysis qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential

• Ability to understand and manage stakeholder requirements/drivers
and project expectations
• Proven business requirements gathering and process/workflow analysis
skills
• Outstanding communication skills (written & oral English), including the
ability to communicate and present both at a technical and non-
technical level
• Demonstrable ability to write high quality requirements / user stories
• Ability to identify skills gaps in target user groups and work with the
change management team to formulate capacity building plans
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiation/mediate;
to facilitate the resolution of conflicting business requirements
• Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort
estimations
• Excellent understanding of business complexity and project
interdependencies
• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across
functional areas
• Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work
products
• Ability to partner with software engineers and quality analysts to
identify course of resolutions
• Experience with UX/UI design including wireframe and rapid prototype
development
• Experience of working within an agile project delivery environment, in
particular Scrum
• Proven experience in facilitating productive workshops, preferably in
multi-cultural contexts
• Excellent customer service orientation and follow-up skills
• Ability to manage and prioritise the workload across a number of
different projects
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and able to take the initiative and
ownership to deliver value to the business
• In depth understanding of various software development
methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)
• Understanding of modelling techniques, such as unified modelling
language
• Cultural awareness and experience of delivering solutions
internationally
• Basic understanding of system engineering, object-oriented design,
information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards

Desirable:
• Non-profit sector knowledge/experience
• Experience with/understanding of the Monitoring and Evaluation of
international development projects
• Experience in working with offshore project team members
