Motor Engineer (Field) - Insurance Claims
Location: Sevenoaks
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum + lifestyle benefits package
Are you an experienced Motor Engineer/Estimator with a VDA/ ATA accreditation?
Do you have knowledge of Computerised Estimation Systems i.e. Audatex and Glassmatix?
If you answered yes', we are recruiting for a desktop Motor Image Engineer/ Estimator to work exclusively on motor insurance claims within a fast growing and successful compmany.
This is a role where you will be an important member of a proactive team in the handling of motor insurance claims and comes with a competitive salary and excellent company benefits.
Purpose of the role:
To contribute to the prompt and economical settlement of motor claims by efficiently inspecting vehicles, and auditing estimates.
This is achieved by providing accurate assessments of repair cost by authorising repairs and supervising the prompt payment of accounts within established guidelines and procedures.
Role responsibilities
In this role you will operate remotely covering a designated geographical area in the south east.
·Number of inspections, valuations and other items of work performed.
·Quality and timeliness of inspections, valuations, audits and invoice review.
·Quality of claims leakage reduction.
·Accuracy of categorisation of salvage and timeliness of disposal of salvage.
·Monitor repair work and activities of repairers so to ensure that the average repair cost falls within the motor engineers' territory minimum number of substandard repair referrals.
·Responsibility for the inspection of damaged vehicles as requested.
·Meeting leakage targets and obtaining high quality value for money repairs that do not adversely affect the safety of the vehicle.
·Arranging disposal of salvage in accordance with the ABI guidelines.
·To develop and maintain effective relationships with repairers and intermediaries thus ensuring highest levels of customer satisfaction at the lowest fair repair cost
·To maintain up to date and accurate records and provide regular returns in established forms.

Knowledge required:

·Thorough knowledge of the details of the methods of motor vehicle accident repair.
·Experience of estimating and negotiation.
·Thorough knowledge of practices relating to the handling of motor claims.
·Detailed knowledge of the method of repair of motor vehicles.
