Credit Controller, Manufacturing Company, Magherafelt, Salary up to £20,000

Your new role
You will be working in a small but busy accounts department and will report directly to the Financial Controller. You will manage and oversee the credit control function, by leading and motivating the team including finance, sales, production and despatch, to achieve collections targets. You will work actively with the sales team to achieve full up to date payment of the accounts whilst keeping the Financial Controller informed at all times to enable appropriate further actions to be taken if necessary. You will facilitate a monthly credit meeting with the sales team representatives to discuss any problem accounts and agree actions. You will prepare weekly and monthly accounts receivable journal entries, lodge money received, maintain the cash book the produce and issue monthly statements.
You will produce period end reconciliations of accounts receivable and cash, prepare weekly cash-in forecasting including customer collections schedules, weekly and monthly reporting of the Key Performance indicators for the department, responsible for operation, maintenance and reconciliation of the petty cash ledger, ensure that company policies and procedures for the department are maintained at all times and any other duties as identified by the Financial Controller.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have 3 A 'Levels or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience working as a credit controller. You will have knowledge of debit and credit journals, knowledge of working with PODs. It would be desirable if you have experience working with EDI and MS Navision software.
You will be a highly motivated person being able to work on your own initiative within a team or independently. You will have excellent time management, planning and organisational skills with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
