Contract Type
Full Time
Successful candidates will be working within the residential setting, assisting with a range of care; which may include personal care with young people who can display challenging behaviour. You will be required to support and develop the young people accessing the community, within their home and taking part in a wide range of activities.

The ability to work shift patterns covering weekends and bank holidays is essential, however we also have positions for relief staff which offers more flexibility. In return you will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate of pay, branded uniform and comprehensive training and development.

We offer discounted on-site accommodation to colleagues, which is a great benefit particularly for those who wish to travel to work their shifts. Ideally we are looking for people who have worked in a similar environment and have experience of autism, mental health needs and/or challenging behaviour, but happy to consider applications from candidates who are keen to develop their career in a care setting.

Relevant qualifications would be an advantage, however not essential as we provide a full induction and comprehensive training programme leading to an NVQ Level 3.

It is our goal to provide an environment that ensures and promotes the wellbeing of each colleague in a safe and secure setting in which they can develop their full potential to ensure that the children and young people reach theirs.

Want to learn more?

We welcome your applications now but we will be at Diss job centre every Wednesday from 1-3pm from the 28th of June if you would like to meet us and learn more about our opportunities before applying.

We look forward to meeting you.

Acorn Park School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children and young people in our care. Successful applicants will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
