Description

The key responsibilities of this Senior Major Donor Fundraiser will be:

  • Stewardship, engagement and fundraising from major donors
  • Work towards agreed income targets from the stewardship of major donors
  • Employ an engaging approach towards philanthropists to ensure their continued engagement with the charity and its aims
  • Support members of the wider team on their fundraising targets
  • Work on a capital appeal to generate additional funds from major donors
  • Accurately record all donor interaction on the fundraising database
  • Lead on a portfolio of high value donors
  • Ensure a pipeline of potential donors is in place in order to meet income targets
  • Work alongside the prospect researcher to move donors along the funding journey
  • Line manage 1 major donor fundraiser
  • Budget management to ensure expenditure and income is closely monitored

Profile

The person specification for this Senior Major Donor Fundraiser is:

  • Proven track record of securing 6 figure gifts from high net worth individuals
  • Experience of delivering income against appropriate, agreed targets
  • Excellent relationship building and management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to achieve group goals
  • Strong influencing skills and an ability to manage multiple relationships with philanthropists
  • Ability to secure new gifts as well as growing current gifts from major donors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated, as well as work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Eye for detail

Job Offer

This organisation is looking to offer a salary of between £37,000 and £41,000, depending on experience.
