We are looking to recruit a post graduate Editorial Design Assistant for an eight week assignment to assist the Digital Editorial Team in editing, publishing and maintaining digital content across our public website.

This is an exciting opportunity for a post graduate who has a talent for content design and an enthusiasm for working with digital content to join a dynamic, high performing Digital Editorial Team and gain valuable experience.

What we're looking for:

  • someone who can start immediately and who lives within an easy commute to our office based on the University of Surrey campus!

  • experience in editing, devising and implementing user-centred online content for a large corporate website (desirable)

  • a good understanding of content management systems and publishing workflows

  • a basic understanding of web analytics, metadata and taxonomy

  • a basic understanding of information architecture, SEO, usability and accessibility

  • excellent editing and copywriting skills and a sharp eye for detail

  • instinctive ability to turn formal, passive prose into clear, useful content

  • good interpersonal skills in a variety of situations, and managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

  • experience in editing, devising and implementing user-centred online content for a large corporate website (desirable)

  • worked successfully in a website/content management capacity on a range of projects (desirable)

  • experience working with a corporate taxonomy, metadata schemes, brand, tone of voice, house style and digital content governance (desirable)
