Location: Herne Bay
Salary:£30k - £40k

Connect2staff are excited to be recruiting for a Registered Manager for a Children's Home based in the Herne Bay area which offers comprehensive residential services for young people aged between 10 - 18 years.
The home itself works with Children and Young People, many who have experienced receiving care from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). It is there to provide support and provide a wide range of emotional, social and behavioural needs for young people.
The right candidate is expected to be a part of the continual development of the home and bring their own skills and experiences to support that. You will be skilled in working with children and able to manage, develop and support staff to ensure the well being of the residents.
Example of Duties:
*Responsible for overseeing of the day to day management, efficient administrative function and professional care for the children and young people.
*To participate in the development of objectives for the Home and to ensure these are achieved.
*Ensure Policies & Procedures are understood and implemented to ensure the highest standards of care.
*To hold Registered Managers status under Ofsted.
*Ensure all documentations are in place for each child or young person; LAC records, risk assessments and care plans.
*Liaise with external agencies and appropriate health and social care professionals associated with the care of children & young people.
*Be responsible for all admissions of Children and Young People to the home.
*Provide professional and managerial support to staff in the home.
*Carry out staff appraisals and development interviews, encourage ideas and suggestions and ensure the highest standard of care.
*Be responsible for duty rota on a four weekly basis
*To understand the budget constraints of the home and to support the Director in keeping within these constraints and use the most cost effective use of resources.

The successful candidate will have:
*Understanding of residential child care
*Experience of working with young people aged 10 - 16
*2 years minimum experience of working within a management capacity
*2 years minimum experience of working in a children's residential care environment
*Working knowledge of the Children Act 1989
*The L5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalents e.g. a recognised social work qualification or a professional qualification relevant to working with children at level 5 or equivalent;
*A qualification in management at level 5 or equivalent - if not holder of the Diploma detailed above
