An excellent and flexible role in the day to day running of the school's finance and payroll functions in a prep school in Richmond. The post is a new role to be filled as soon as possible.

The role will report to the Bursar and cover support on Payroll and Pension issues and also general Finance.

The jobholder will prepare monthly payroll submissions and payroll variance for approval, prepare the payroll monthly and process to the finance system. They will also handle all administration of pensions with Teachers' Pension, the School's Stakeholder Pension Scheme and respond to queries from staff on payroll and pension matters.

In terms of general finance, he or she will post invoices on Sage and handle queries, administer the school credit card paperwork and prepare creditors' payments for approval. He or she will monitor teachers' budgets, prepare fee invoice input information and assist with end of year preparation and procedures.

Proven experience of Sage 50 accounts is essential, as is experience of Purchase Ledger. Intermediate or Advanced level skills at Microsoft Applications, particularly Excel, are essential and it is expected that the job holder will have very high standards of accuracy and attential to detail with strong numerical ability and data entry skills.

The role is based at this independent girls' prep school in Richmond and is for a flexible 15 hour week during term time which can be spread over 2 to 5 days with specific hours to suit the postholder. A limited amount of school holiday working will be required with flexible hours also. Salary will depend on the qualifications and experience of the job holder in the region of £25,000 pa full time equivalent.
