Area Sales Manager (German Speaking)

Position: Area Sales Manager - Western Europe
Location: Harlow, Essex - with up to 30-40% EU Travel
Salary/Rate: £40,000 - £50,000 + Company package and OTE
Reporting to: Commercial Director
Type: Permanent, full time

Adecco have a rare opportunity representing one of our globally recognised clients who are recruiting for a German speaking Area Sales Manager to cover the Western Europe territory. Although this will be based in the Harlow head office, this role may include up to 40% EU travel. This role is working within a booming, forever changing market and our client can offer a fun, attractive environment. Extensive training, long-term support and career progression is also available.

Main Purpose of Role:

To maximise revenue, manage and expand existing accounts and have a tenacious approach in bringing new products to market for the business in Western Europe.

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

*Research and build our clients brand in targeted sectors in Western Europe.

*Pro-actively generate new revenue streams and pipeline opportunities with end users and trade customers.

*Identify and contact potential customers from detailed research by telephone or email introducing the product range, understanding their needs and likely objections.

*Contribute to developing a coherent Sales and Marketing plan using research and contacts for the region to execute and secure future growth.

*Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets according to the Sales and Marketing Plan.

*Prepare detailed sales budgets, pipelines, forecasts and reports on progress.

*Develop strong relationships with existing clients in Western Europe to maximise long term revenue and market understanding and to drive additional revenue streams.

*Process UK, EU and rest of the world orders and provide support during holidays/sickness/busy periods to maintain customer service levels.

*Use data analysis to identify market trends and potential growth areas/ sectors.

*Build harmonious professional working relationships demonstrating sound courtesies, business ethics and principles with managers, colleagues, service providers and customers.

*To undertake any other responsibilities as requested

Ideal candidate and personal qualities:

*Fluent written and spoken German essential, desirable to have both French and German language skills.

*Proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels with colleagues internally and externally with customers and potential customers verbally and in writing.

*Robust track record of successful B2B channel sales experience, catalogue sales an advantage.

*Proven ability to build positive relationships both internally and externally.

*Demonstrable skills in maintaining accurate records on CRM and accounting software.

*The successful candidate will be required to travel up to 40% and therefore a valid passport and driving license will be required.
