Our client Transformers and Rectifiers, based in Guildford, are a specialist world leader in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of heavy machinery, offering world class engineering solutions. They are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to strengthen their Management team and help drive the business forward at a time of great opportunity in the industry. Responsibilities:

• Maintain up-to-date records of departmental financial information ensuring that all required compliance financial information is given to external agencies as required

• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of management accounts

• Plan and prepare financial management documents; including financial plans, budgets and forecasts

• Effective management and control of all capital and revenue budgets

• Lead the financial aspects of any strategic projects aimed at achieving growth of the organisation

• Control of management systems for all accounting functions, particularly purchase/sales ledger, payroll, cash and banking, nominal ledger and stock control including long term contracts/work in progress

• Confident liaison with auditors, business advisers and other external partners

• Responsible for the preparation of appropriate financial reports and to present such at Board Meetings as and when required

• Fully conversant with new initiatives, new legislation and modern thinking in all matters relating to the company’s financial management and to advise the Management Team and Board accordingly

• Manage and oversee the preparation of all statutory returns and management of company pension schemes

• Develop the company’s Management Information Systems with an emphasis on effective financial control procedures and on maximizing business efficiencies

• Management of all aspects of the company’s secretarial requirements including assumption of the role of Company Secretary

• To lead and manage the Finance team

Skills / Experience:

• ACA/ CIMA qualified

• Proven experience as Finance Manager or similar role

• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles and laws

• Proficient MS Office and financial management software skills
