Our client is looking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to deliver ongoing support to the desktop infrastructure. Based in Newcastle, you will report to the 2nd Line Support Team Manager and be highly involved with our client's customers.

With strong technical and customer service skills, you will manage an individual queue of cases to meet team wide SLAs, adhere to incident management procedures under ITIL processes and produce documentation, work procedures and processes for supporting the working environment.

The ideal candidate will have good technical knowledge in the following:
* Windows XP
* Windows 7
* Remote profile issues
* DFS
* DHCP
* NTFS

You should be a strong team player with the ability to work under pressure within demanding timeframes. Any relevant ICT or ITIL qualifications would be an advantage.

Dependent upon the desk in which the post holder is located they may be given the position subject to successful SC security clearance.
