Our client a private equity backed professional services firm based in the city near Liverpool St. They are looking for someone with experience in International Payroll for in specific regions such as Africa, Europe, Middle East or Asia. The role will involve setting up new payrolls alongside the Accounts, and wider operations team’s across the business.

Knowledge of specific regions will be useful when understanding local culture and legalities, but a lot of the aspects to the learn can be learned. Therefore an individual with a good attitude, willingness to learn and work ethic will be well suited to this role. Alongside the role’s main responsibilities will be the necessity to improve systems, technology and processes across the transactional finance team. They have recently acquired a number of businesses and an increase in workload has led to this role becoming available. Long term this role has a view to growing a team, and mentoring / developing others.

Below is a breakdown of the role’s key duties and responsibilities;

  • Setting up new payrolls for international clients and workers

  • Work closely with Finance / Ops teams to improve systems and processes

  • Manage relationships with staff on the payroll, as well as key clients

  • Meet with clients to troubleshoot

  • Develop strategy for setting up workers / contractors

  • Processing payments

  • Help process small amount of payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis

  • Resolve queries, and system issues within the Pay + Bill department

  • Ad hoc operational / finance duties

This role will report in the Head of Shared Services, but also have close contact with the CFO, and wider SMT. Ability to manage key internal and external stakeholders will be important.
