2150 - Marketing & Communications Assistant - Perm - Farnham - £22-£30K plus performance bonus

Our client, a growing organisation in the Construction industry and is looking for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to assist in the implementation and maintenance all marketing and advertising materials.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities

  • To assist in the design and production of advertising and marketing materials and other in house company literature.

  • To assist in the production of PowerPoint presentations for the Senior Management Team and the Training department.

  • To be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of all social media platforms, namely Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+.

  • To assist in the updating of all social media channels with relevant and engaging content on a regular basis.

  • Research social media and market trends and keep abreast of new technologies and digital innovations to maximise social media presence. To create content input for SEO purposes.

  • To support the Marketing Manager in managing social media campaigns.

  • To assist in the maintenance of company blogs and newsletters. To proof read, approve and amend marketing material.

  • To help prepare marketing documentation for Company tenders obtaining input from all relevant stakeholders.

  • Event planning for Company events and launches, trade fairs or open days.

  • To provide cover for other non-Marketing/PR related activities including administrative tasks and fielding sales enquiries from interested parties.

  • General admin duties within the marketing and commercial department: printing / binding literature / business cards

  • To proactively canvass for new business amongst existing customers and through targeted industry mailshots.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in an similar administrative or marketing position

  • Relevant DTP skills: MS office & Design packages (PhotoShop)

  • Detailed knowledge of Social Media

  • Ability to form working relationships with clients and build relationships at all levels

  • Eye for design and attention to detail
