The Role

  • Plan and coordinate the maintenance of the equipment

  • Establish the preventive maintenance planning

  • Promote safe behaviours, participate in H&S activities, apply and ensure compliance with the sites

  • Establish, implement and communicate work procedures and methods

  • Assign and coordinate the team members' work

  • Ensure relationship with management and the coordination of activities with other teams

  • Coordinate the preventive maintenance of production equipment and make sure required repairs are carried out

  • Identify and analyse improvement opportunities to improve the performance and reliability of equipment

  • Participate in the purchase and development of equipment

  • Solve production problems and propose improvements to increase productivity and ensure product quality

  • Participate in the elaboration and implementation of the production site's development plan

  • Train, advise and support maintenance team members in their work

  • Plan the preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure adherence with production schedules

  • Determine the quantity of spare parts required to optimize agility and costs

  • Monitor critical and spare parts inventory

  • Update the specifications, technical papers, work orders and other documents supporting the preventive maintenance activities

  • Organize the maintenance team's work and storage areas

  • Make the purchases and manage the inventory relative to equipment maintenance

  • Establish procurement standards and suppliers for maintenance parts and services

  • Develop, implement and communicate the department's policies and procedures

  • Look for new procurement sources and methods

  • Approve service offers and negotiate agreements with suppliers

  • Participate in the decision-making process for manufacturing purchases

The Person

  • Nationally Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (City & Guilds / BTEC Higher)

  • City & Guilds Electrical Installation 17th Edition

  • Able to perform a hands on role and guide a small team.

  • Familiar with Project Management Principles

  • Familiar with Principles of PPM

  • Previous experience of preparing Production Schedules

  • Previous experience of Inventory Management and Procurement Principles

  • Previous experience of Planning and Budget monitoring
