Would you like to work in a Good Special School who offer a friendly environment which is very, family and community orientated? Are you keen to work with students who need your help, and to whom you can make a really positive difference? If so then this is the opportunity for you

Our clients, in the Harlow area, are looking for a qualified primary teacher (NQT's are encouraged to apply), to work with PMLD/SLD students as a Class Teacher. You should have the interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate with staff, students and when required the students families. You will be responsible for promoting the achievement and wellbeing of pupils who have severe, and complex needs.

The successful candidate will need to have:

* The ability to create a clear vision for the class
* The skills to develop the pupils to their full potential
* To be able to assess pupils knowledge and understanding and then plan accordingly.
* To have high expectations of students and of yourself
* Understand the complexities of SEN pupils

This is a great chance to work in a School with a real family feel to it and to be a part of a community who are making a real difference to the lives of their students. They have recently converted an unused field into an Orchard and Memorial garden, with plans to develop the area further.

Having visited this school, on numerous occasions, I have always found them to be warm and welcoming and you only have to see the Head Teacher interacting with the pupils so see the passion she has for improving their lives.

In return you will receive:

* The chance to work with dedicated and experienced SLT and support teams
* Timetabled PPA, training and support
* Pupils who are engaged and enthusiastic in their learning

The position is to start in September 2017. Classes are in ability groups rather than ages and the class you are given will depend on your experience.

Our client is an all-age special school for children and young people aged 3-19 with severe and profound learning difficulties. Their aim is to provide a first class education whilst also meeting the student's personal, social and emotional needs. Ofsted rate them as a "Good" School.

Please send your CV to Greg Burns, who is our dedicated SEN Consultant and will be happy to guide you through each step of the process from your application and will support you right up to the day you start with the School.
