Junior Web Developer with some commercial web development experience and knowledge of WordPress, PHP, Symfony, HTML, CSS and JavaScript (JQuery) is required for a well-established national Company based in London.

SALARY: £25,000 – £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Bonus

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm

PLEASE NOTE: The successful candidate may be required to visit remote sites within the UK (with possible overnight stays) to assist in resolving technical issues or implementing changes to hardware/software.


We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Junior Web Developer with some commercial web development experience and knowledge of WordPress, PHP, Symfony, HTML, CSS and JavaScript (JQuery).

Working as the Junior Web Developer you will report to the DB Manager and Technical Consultant, helping with the Company website – contributing to writing code, interacting with MySQL / MS SQL and Filemaker.

As the Junior Web Developer, you will join the IT & Facilities Department in an exciting time of growth for the business.

Your duties as the Junior Web Developer will be:

• Reporting to/working closely with DB Manager and Technical Consultant

• Contributing to writing clean, efficient, readable code that delivers real business value

• Working with databases

• Interacting with MySQL/MS SQL & Filemaker

• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimisation and functionality

• Collaborating with the team to find solutions to various internal challenges (i.e. development approach, product development, etc.) and contribute ideas and efforts towards those

• Applying knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to internal clients


• Previous commercial web development experience

• Testable knowledge of WordPress/PHP/Symfony, HTML, and CSS, JavaScript (JQuery)

• General API knowledge

• Values internal and external clients and responds to their needs as they arise

• Establishes effective working relationship with clients and team members

• Understands the professional development process and becomes actively involved by setting challenging goals and meeting them through continuous learning

• Seeks input from mentors and supervisors and actively applies feedback received to day-to-day work to improve performance
