The main purpose of the Business Development Manager role is to sell products to new and existing business customers. This Business Development Manager position is mainly office based, but will occasionally involve going out to meet prospective and current customers.
Key Responsibilities:

* Promote and sell technical products to new and existing customers, primarily over the phone, but also going out to meet clients from time to time
* Follow up prearranged telephone appointments to promote products by means of demonstrations and online quotation system
* Discuss technical requirements with customers, to determine most suitable product
* Follow up pipeline and quotations to ensure that leads are either converted or closed

Essential Skills:

* Proven experience in hitting and exceeding sales targets
* Tenacious in approach with excellent closing skillsEnthusiastic and driven
* Determination to succeed
* Able to operate within a changing environment
* Able to work autonomously : self-starter
* Able to communicate concisely and work to agreed timescales
