Sketch is looking for an ambitious and confident Business Development Researcher to join our London team. This is a telephone based role, with the purpose of this role will ultimately be to qualify leads and make appointments for the sales team to visit potential new clients. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build a strong career within sales in the D&B market.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, this individual will be responsible for thoroughly exploring leads identified by the Networkers or Researchers, qualifying leads by making phone contact and when appropriate, book appointments for the sales team.

Main responsibilities:

• Research new businesses and clients to create new business opportunities from CRM
• Bring a new, creative approach to business development research – using methods like social media, press coverage, industry press or other new sources of information
• Research leads aligned to the wider strategy of client mapping and new business creation
• Make telephone contact to qualify leads
• Create a call list of new clients for follow up
• Ensure CRM is updated
• Build relationships with internal Fourfront Group teams sales teams to gain market knowledge
• Attend weekly sales meetings to develop market knowledge
• Flexibility on start and end times to ensure market coverage
• Provide Head of Sales with qualified opportunity list
• Work with Head of Sales to develop, implement and follow EDM via CRM
• Attend client facing meetings to introduce Sketch and identify opportunities
• Ability to sell services from across the group

What we are looking for:

• Good experience of various form of research within a highly competitive industry
• Experience of building new business opportunities via research led initiatives, campaigns etc.
• Microsoft Dynamics CRM system proficiency is essential
• Experience in commercial workplace industry
• Ability to build internal and external relationships, both face to face and remotely
• Basic telesales training is essential (open, investigate, qualify & close)
• Microsoft Office
• Excellent telephone manner and creative in how to get past gate keepers.
• Flexibility on start and end times across the working week
• Knowledge of commercial furniture sales advantageous
