Contracts Advisor - 12-month Contract

Working as part of the Sales and Marketing Team, the Contracts Advisor is responsible for negotiating and advising on all contracts for the company as well as drafting the materials required for the process. You will work closely with the Business Development Team to write first drafts and proofread and edit content for final proposals as well as enter into negotiations with client procurement teams to ensure a legally sound and practical contract is in place between both parties.

The Contracts Advisor will provide contractual and commercial expertise, using knowledge of commercial and legal practice in the UK specifically as it relates to the IT industry to support and provide guidance in the development and negotiation of contracts whilst ensuring compliance with company policy, legal and regulatory requirements.

The Contracts Advisors main responsibilities are:

Liaising with prospective clients to agree the terms of contracts.
Regular meetings with the Business Development Team and occasionally the Directors with regard to the proper negotiation of contracts.
Development and ownership of best practice policies in relation to contract negotiation.
Engaging with the Business Development Team and the Marketing Team to ensure KPI targets are met.
Detailed proofreading and editing of contract materials
Creation and negotiation of other contractual documents including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Letters of Variation for existing clients.
Skills Required for the Role:

The experience of working within an IT organisation or on IT contracts is preferable.
Contract negotiation skills
Experience of working with Public Sector procurement teams
Ability to work to strict deadlines
Team working and collaboration
Interest in and understanding of basic legal processes
Commercial Awareness
