A global payments company has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the development of the cross border marketing plan and programme for Europe

This role is to:
• Ensure local market requirements are reflected within plan
• Identify marketing opportunities to drive increased value from international payments
• Development of international programme to change behaviours and attitudes
• Integrate marketing initiatives across; sponsorships, products, communications and partnerships
• Support; partnerships, retail and products team in delivering against the cross border agenda
• Ensure alignment with global markets to drive marketing interventions before and during travel
• Develops a pro-active relationship with global teams

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
• Experience of marketing and communications plans within a multi-national organization
• Experience of developing marketing programs that focus on changing behaviours and attitudes
• The ability to use research to isolate key information and deliver effective marketing and communications strategies
• Excellent knowledge and experience of the payments business and/or financial services
• Experience at developing strategic solutions that connect with digital native audiences
• Have worked with international partners at a regional/ global level
• Has implemented audience segmentation model and associated marketing approaches
• Demonstrated ability to develop value propositions together with product/ service messaging
• Excellent communication skills and able to present confidently to senior stakeholders
• Worked across divisions including; Marketing, Sales, Finance and Operations, ideally within a multi-national
• Ability to write and deliver presentations to outline strategic direction and secure support from stakeholders
• Has demonstrated a hunger to challenge the status quo and influence at all levels in an organization
• Must be able to work in a matrix environment and manage relationships across levels
• Strong project and programme management skills
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills and high competency in managing varied data sources
• Experience in the main disciplines of marketing and communications, either client or agency would be an advantage

Key Responsibilities
• Contributes to and leads implementation of the European cross border marketing and communications approach
• Synthesise insights to identify strategic marketing opportunities
• Develop strong working relationships with markets to ensure needs are captured within plan and programme development
• Contribute to the development of pan European and multi-market international usage briefs
• Define and gain agreement with senior stakeholders across Europe for proposed approach and programmes
• Works with retail and partnership teams to align efforts to drive international payments
• Works alongside product teams to strengthen the travel proposition
• Provides marketing support to activate marketing initiatives with key partners; clients and retailers
• Champion the implementation of the plan at a local market level together with a focus on performance evaluation
• Advise the business on the most appropriate way to measure activities including data sharing for partner co-marketing
• Delivery of dashboards that outline marketing performance
• Responsible for sharing best practices and results across markets.
• Providing a key point of contact in Europe, liaising with the global international/ cross border team
• Drives the cross border agenda and is a champion for international payments
• Lead and manage relations with 3 party research providers as required
• Help administer project budgets for external agencies
