Business Development Manager - South Coast

General Haulage - Pallet Distribution

Salary C: £40K plus Bonus plus Company Car Laptop Mobile and Great Benefits

Overall Job Purpose

To develop and win new business for, primarily, within the Bournemouth/south coast area. The role will require you to work closely with the board to making sure that we gain new profitable business for this operation.

The role reports in to the Sales & Marketing Director, and will work within the team based at Bournemouth

Key Duties and Accountabilities

  • The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of new business success in General Haulage, Pallet Network & Warehouse revenue streams.
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process.
  • Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities are captured and explored.
  • You will be expected to self- manage.
  • Be accountable for all customer proposals, contracts and any further documentation.
  • Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update the CRM system.
  • Report weekly sales activity to Group Sales Director.
  • Track all new business won.

General Responsibilities

  • Working towards and supporting Company goals, values and objectives.
  • Ensure the highest level of quality of service is provided to both internal and external stakeholders at all times.
  • To complete all necessary administration duties.
