QA Higher Education provides a range of Business, Management and IT career-focused programmes ranging from Level 3 to Level 7, accredited by University partners. Students can choose to study at city-centre campuses in London, Birmingham and Newcastle, providing state of the art facilities.

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to work as a member of the Sales and Marketing Team, reporting directly to the Head of Admissions and Conversion, taking responsibility for:

  • Processing applications of all Home applications within a defined entry criteria
  • Assessing all applications and recommending the next steps required
  • Achieving a positive applicant experience
  • Manage the assessment process
  • Manage a small team
  • Ensuring all applications are processed within the agreed KPI’s and to the highest standard
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for processes and outcomes

Main Responsibilities

  • To manage the admissions process for all applicants from the initial application through to confirmation and registration, ensuring that they continue to meet the needs of internal stakeholders and applicants and that they are compliant with the requirements of government policy
  • Take full ownership of the assessment process at all sites
  • To process incoming applications, check qualifications and authenticity of results
  • To make decisions on applications in accordance with our strict admissions policy and with reference to each partner’s admissions criteria
  • To enter decisions and generate offers using our student record system and CRM system ensuring all details are accurate
  • To work closely with the Sales Team, monitor responses ensuring applicants’ responses to decisions are accurately recorded and actioned
  • To ensure that correct procedures are followed when dealing with fraudulent applications, applicants with criminal convictions and under-age applicants
  • Ensure that all the correct procedures are followed when dealing with Home/EU students.
  • To evaluate and collect feedback from stakeholders on the quality of admissions activities and to provide expert advice on the level of support, resources and change needed to deliver a high-quality service
  • To manage a high workload, especially during peak times
  • Regular travel between all QAHE sites

Skills & Experience Required

    • Required - educated to A Level, a first degree would be an advantage
    • Ability to speak a foreign language would be an advantage
    • Proven track record of successfully operating in the education sector in a similar role
    • Experience of working with Home/EU students
    • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment
    • Understanding of the application process and higher education admission
    • An awareness of good data management practice
