Accounts Clerk required for busy construction company based in North London.

Duties include but are not exclusive to:

  • Ensuring timesheets are in and completing weekly timesheet list
  • Compiling wages from timesheets and ensuring you are processing data accurately and processing payroll in a timely manner
  • Enter the subcontractors wages on Sage
  • File CIS return on a monthly basis, print all statement of deductions
  • Pay supplier invoices
  • Dealing with invoice queries from customers
  • Issuing invoices and statements to customers as signed off by the director
  • Provide information to external accountant who creates financial statements
  • Maintain an orderly accounting system
  • Calculate variances from budget and report significant issues to management
  • Work through bank statement on a weekly basis
  • Match all purchase invoices with their purchase notes
  • Process all the supplier invoices on SAGE
  • Credit control every week
  • File VAT return on a quarterly basis
  • File annual return to companies house

The ideal candidate will have experience in the Construction industry and be highly organised, proactive and have strong experience with Excel, Sage line 50 and sage payroll with 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
