Our client is a dementia charity. They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.
Position: Dementia Support Manager
Location: Battle (role covers East Sussex)
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £21,740 per annum (actual)

About the role:
They are looking for a self-motivated individual to manage teams of 5 highly skilled Dementia Support Workers and 6 Dementia Advisors in East Sussex. Dementia Advisors and Dementia Support workers are based in offices across East Sussex. Their teams provide support, information, advice and guidance to enable people with dementia and their carers to live well. They currently do this through visits to clients, telephone contact and peer support groups. You will be supporting them in their demanding role whilst ensuring they offer the highest standards of service.
Referrals into these services come through a triage service based in Peacehaven which is operated by Dementia Advisors.
You will have a good understanding of the needs of people with dementia and their carers.
You will have NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), and experience of managing the learning and development of others. You will have experience of working with statutory and voluntary agencies. Experience of record keeping and report writing is desirable. An ability to travel independently within the area is essential.
