Absolute is operating as a recruitment agency for the supply of permanent opportunities. Our customer is recruiting an experienced Test Technician/Engineer to join their electronics manufacturing site in Newport.

Job Description Summary:

Reporting to the relevant Team Leader, your primary responsibilities will be both the functional and process testing of production equipment, to meet the required quality standard across the full product range within set manufacturing times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will predominantly be responsible for modular systems testing

  • Additional responsibilities will include electrical and mechanical assembly tasks when required

  • There may also be an occasional requirement to support the Product Groups in the development of new products

Qualifications/Experience Summary:

  • Must be educated to HND/HNC level or equivalent

  • Previous experience within a semiconductor industry

  • Must have some exposure or experience in a manufacturing and/or shop-floor environment

  • A maintenance or mechanical background is advantageous but not essential
