A Mechanical Contract Manager opportunity has arisen within a well-established M&E sub contractor based in Chelmsford. They are looking for experienced mechanical contract/project managers for projects around Essex, North London, Cambridge and Chelmsford. These roles will be primarily office based in Chelmsford.
Your new role
You will be overseeing the life cycle of projects, from inception to completion, and ensuring that client's requirements are met on schedule and within budget. Also you will need to make sure the quality of installed works meets the standard of the project specification. Projects will be between £250k and £5m in value. The projects will be primarily commercial, education healthcare and industrial.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to have a Mechanical background with experience on M&E projects. Also strong communication skills are required to liaise with the client, and work effectively with colleagues. As a Manager you will also need to provide leadership and impart knowledge on site staff. It is essential that you have experience managing projects within the UK. A good all rounder Mechanical Project Manager is preferred as you'll work on a range of projects. CSCS is essential as well one of the SMSTS, or SSSTS is preferred. You will have experience managing several projects including the paperwork and financial side of things not just on site as a project manager.
