An excellent opportunity has just been made available by an established Housing provider in Norfolk.

My client is looking for an experienced Area Housing Officer for a 8 month fixed term contract in a Full Time capacity with a view for a potential extension.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience in Generic Housing Management, particularly in the areas of Rent Arrears, Estate Management and Tenancy Sustainment.

This role requires a Full UK Drivers License and access to a vehicle.

As a Area Housing Officer, you will have the responsibility for rent arrears control and recovery, including service of Notice of Seeking Possession and attendance at County Court when required.

You will need to provide tenants with welfare benefits and income maximisation advice, and assist customers to making claims for housing benefit (including HB verification).

You will be required to administer tenancies in respect of succession, assignment and applications for joint tenancy etc. At the same time you will need to investigate all complaints in respect of neighbour nuisance and anti-social behaviour and take steps to resolve these within the Trust's policies and procedures.

Part of your role will be to ensure that the Housing Provider's tenancy conditions are complied with and seek to resolve breaches. You will also need to authorise tenants' alterations or improvements to properties as appropriate.

You will be tasked to ensure that estates are managed to a high standard, recommending to the Team Leader works required to improve the facilities or environment of estates and arranging for works to be undertaken using 'estate maintenance' budget provision. Undertake regular Estate inspections.

As a Area Housing Officer, you will need to undertake accompanied viewings, tenancy _sign ups_ to properties (including required follow up visits) and 'end of tenancy' liaison.

You will need to be the 'Specialist Housing Officer' for a designated area of work, as defined by the Assistant Director - Housing Management.

This is an urgent requirement, if you feel this role could be the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your skill set then please get in touch right away!

However if this isn't the right role for you and you know someone else who may be interested, please pass on my contact details.
