We are looking for naturally persuasive and experienced Sales Advisors to sell our extensive range of holidays to new and existing customers and agents to increase our profitability and our brand name. You will have demonstrable experience of working in a sales environment so you can sell the most suitable packages according to the customer’s needs and requirements. Alternatively you may be a recent Travel & Tourism graduate or college leaver looking for a breakthrough role in to this industry.

Either way you must have strong communication and interpersonal skills - be a real "people's person" as the job involves liaising with direct Newmarket customers; national and regional newspapers; travel agents, as well as internal Product, Marketing and Sales Support Teams. You must be passionate, focused and motivated by the desire to turn every sales opportunity into a booking whilst still putting the customer's needs and satisfaction first.

We employ over 200 people, the majority of whom are based at our Wallington, South London office.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • To deliver an effective and enjoyable buying experience for all customers
  • To share with our customers a passion for travel and a knowledge of the destinations in order to add value to the booking experience
  • To gain knowledge of the product and services we offer and consistently share this knowledge with the team members
  • To escalate and share challenges as they arise to ensure that potential problems are identified and solutions found

Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience of working within the travel industry in a target driven environment
  • A high level of product and operational knowledge within the travel industry
  • Customer focused, provide excellent customer service and have a friendly telephone manner
  • Exceptional listening skills to provide the right holiday for our customer base
  • Work well under pressure
  • An empathetic team player with a strong can do attitude
  • Knowledge of some of the geographical destinations that we feature
  • A genuine interest and passion for travel

The hours are 36 per week worked at the Head Office in Wallington, Sutton on a shift pattern Monday to Sunday. Home working is a possibility.
