Nacro's Education centres in Ipswich, are seeking an individual to work within education projects, which will involve delivering the vocational Retail qualification and employability sessions to 16-19 year olds on its Study Programme course. The purpose of the role is to oversee day to day delivery of the vocational retail & customer service qualifications as well as support the delivery to all students as a team, leading on employability delivery, CV, Interview skills, job applications etc.

The post holder will be required to have significant knowledge of how to engage and develop students vocational skills, through the delivery of entry level to level 2 qualifications, while embedding functional skills and separately supporting the personal and social development which ensures personalised learning.

To develop, review and update individually negotiated personalised learning plans with identified learning aims, which are understood by the student and appropriate to their aspirations and abilities, leading where appropriate to nationally recognised qualifications, and with clear progression pathways to post compulsory education, employment or training.

This post will also involve delivering employability skills to all students and working with the students in preparation for them to go into work placement. There will be the need to set up and monitor work placement activity for students, as well as engaging with local employers in the area.

Nacro run a range of Education Services and are looking for an experienced and qualified tutor to work with young people on group and one-to-one basis. The courses offer vocational qualifications alongside helping students improve their literacy and numeracy, as well as developing individually tailored plans for learners around employability, CV writing, personal social development and work experience opportunities.

The post holder will need to work closely with students, staff, local employers, schools, YOS and other referral agents to ensure learning opportunities are maximised at the centre.

The successful candidate will have experience of delivering and assessing or vocational experience, the ability to identify preferred learning styles and engage difficult-to-reach young people.

As a successful candidate you should have:
- A level 4 teaching qualification (Certificate in Education & Training, CTLLS, or an equivalent qualification)
- A level 5 teaching qualification (Diploma in Education & Training, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or an equivalent qualification)
- GCSE English, maths and ICT (or equivalent qualifications at level 2 or above)
- A vocational or academic qualification in your specialist subject (or equivalent experience)

The salary for this role is dependent on experience & qualifications held.

DBS check required.
