Exciting opportunity has arisen in one of London's most exclusive private members groups! We are recruiting for a Membership Secretary position, which will be based in Westminster and will pay up to £25k!

The group itself currently consists of five different private members clubs, all of which are based in the beautiful Mayfair area. The Membership Secretary will hold responsibility for two of those clubs. The role will demand the ability to successfully manage relationships with the existing Members as well as assisting the Membership Director in achieving membership recruitment, retention and engagement goals.

If you are successful in the process you will be a part of the Membership Team, this team consists of:

  • The Membership Director
  • Membership Managers
  • Membership Secretaries
  • Membership Assistants

The main responsibilities of the Membership Secretary will be:

  • Main point of contact for all Membership enquiries relating to both clubs via phone, email and letter
  • Management of all administration relating to payment of annual subscriptions (direct debits, standing orders, cheques and credit cards) including generating and sending of all renewal and reminder letters on a monthly basis
  • Accurate allocation of payments to individual Members
  • Chasing of payments as required to maintain low attrition rates
  • In conjunction with Membership Assistant, management of waiting Lists including research and, in some cases, interviewing potential applicants
  • Sending out all election letters, management of payments and answering of all new Member enquiries
  • Responsibility for ensuring all Member details are correct and accurate to the best of our knowledge
  • Assisting Membership Director to actively manage Membership through analysis of data
  • Attending Members Drinks and other Member events as required
  • Administration relating to the Committee including setting and managing dates for meetings, preparation of agenda and minute taking
  • Running daily reports for all Clubs to ensure accurate allocation of payments
  • Representing the Clubs and Group as a whole at external events as required

The Ideal Membership Secretary will:

  • Have experience in a similar role
  • Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent Computer skills including Excel. Word and Outlook, with database experience being desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to multi task, a can do attitude and be an enthusiastic team player
  • Professional, discreet and calm under pressure
  • Experience of working with HNW individuals beneficial

  • Full time/ Permanent position
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
