Our client is very much the entrepreneur within the Hospitality industry. Since starting in 1969 they have grown and become one of the market leaders within the industry of catering and using only the freshest ingredients.

This is an exciting role for an experienced Accountant wanting to be part of a small business and continue to grow with them. This is a brand new stand alone role reporting into the Partners of the business and looking after the group of businesses.

The role:

You will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, AR, AP & GL
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Weekly reporting to Partners of the firm’s cashflow position
  • Monthly reporting to Partners and Managers on current month and YTD
  • Monthly reporting to Partners on KPIs
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Responsible for month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Processing invoices
  • Posting journals
  • Credit card & cash reconciliation
  • Balancing accounts
  • Daily & monthly Bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of VAT returns

Key requirements:

  • Qualified or QBE Accountant
  • Hospitality background within Finance ideally
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Over 4 years Bookkeeping experience
  • Strong Communication skills - written and verbal
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experience in a fast paced environment
  • Highly organised with prioritisation skills
