Mid-weight Interior Designer FF&E
Medium-sized, contemporary interior design studio are looking for a Mid-weight FF&E Interior Designer, with a minimum of 5 years' experience, to work on high-end residential projects on a permanent basis at their office in West London. This is unlike any other interior design or FF&E position as you will be designing bespoke furniture, upholstery and joinery.
You must be extremely comfortable with working on projects from concept to completion and being able to work through to installation on site of large London properties. Experience with high-end residential is paramount. As well as working on design, you must be technically advanced, being able to produce packages (i.e. carpets, upholstery, window treatments etc.), without little help. You ought to be a well-rounded designer.
You should at least have experience with a minimum of three projects from concept design to procurement to installation of large properties, including London townhouses as well as penthouse apartments, where (due to the sheer number of bespoke pieces) you'll be working in a team regarding the logistics and timings for it all. Therefore, your organisational skills ought to be second to none. They cover projects in London as well as globally including the Middle East, New York, LA etc.
You must have exceptional design abilities and taste, as well as comfortable with technical detailing in AutoCAD. For example you'll be working on the design of bespoke upholstery, which will be custom designed and printed. This role requires you to go above and beyond to ensure that everything the client has is unique and often one-off to them.

The interview will be in two stages, where your technical skills will be tested on AutoCAD. This prestigious office is bright and open, with as much detail in their office as in their projects. You'll be wowed straight away by the art on the walls and the auction-bought furniture; this really is a fantastic opportunity, and you need to be able to understand the aesthetic and process of this studio in order to succeed. This is not a procurement-based role. You must be located in London at the moment and have experience on UK projects.
Salary is negotiable, depending on experience and benefits include 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays and Xmas) and pension.
