My client, a leading Central London based technology start up, are looking to hire a Finance Analyst. The role sits within the FP&A team and reports directly in to the FP&A Manager. The job has arisen due to my client's excellent performance over the last 18 months (including developing some market leading technology).

My client has a preference for candidates with 3-5 years' worth of analytical experience within a fast paced industry. Candidates should be pursuing their ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualification. Cleints from a Big 4 ACA background are also extremely desirable.

The role's duties include reporting and analysing crucial deliverables (i.e. fee recognition, trends and sales revenue), monthly reporting of Business Unit results, compiling and taking charge of variance analysis, preparing forecasts and budgetary analysis for individual business units.

There will be some KPI analysis and meeting with heads of departments to discuss why targets are being missed/achieved (i.e. business partnering). Candidates need to be decisive enough to challenge senior members in the business and provide new ideas to increase efficiency. You will be liaising with the FP&A Manager with regards to the P&L and variance analysis. Successful applicants will also be liaising with stakeholders.

Excel forms a significant part of the role; candidates will need to be highly adept with building pivot tables, v-look ups and formulas.
