Sponsorship Sales Manager - European & Asian Finance Events

London based + Travel

Base salary up to £40K + £80K OTE + Excellent Benefits

An opportunity to join the financial conference division of a global media & events business. You will take responsibility for a high value portfolio of established & launch events which are held in Europe & Asia. The events are in a high growth area of the finance world and offer insight & networking to senior global finance professionals.

We are looking for an experienced sponsorship sales professional with 2-3 years sponsorship sales experience to drive sponsorship sales revenues within this high performing team.

The Responsibilities

As a Sponsorship Sales Manager, you will essentially be responsible for selling sponsorship packages to corporate businesses. Specifically:

  • Develop long term business relationships with global organisations and manage high value complex sales across the events portfolio.
  • You will be responsible for achieving / exceeding your own personal revenue target.
  • You must acquire and sell sponsorship for your portfolio of large scale international finance events and frequently report back to the projects team with updates.
  • You will be pitching "C" Level decision makers in high profile corporate businesses.
  • You will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the market place via research, networking and securing / conducting meetings with key players in the industry.
  • This position will be a mix of new and existing business.

The Person
Your background:

  • Ideally you will be a graduate with a 2:1 or 1st degree
  • You will have gained at least 2 -3 years in sponsorship sales and be looking to continue your sales career in the conference industry
  • You will have a proven track record of performance in B2B sponsorship sales
  • You must be able to demonstrate that you have a structured & strong understanding of sales methodologies, process driven, ambitious and willing to grow and develop within your career in sponsorship sales
  • Your experience will include the ability to effectively research, develop new business, manage accounts, phone based sales and extensive face to face sales
  • You will be confident writing personalized business sales proposals for clients
  • Ability to understand and assess client business needs and be able to develop creative solutions to meet their needs
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, time management and communication skills
  • You will be used to working to targets, deadlines and work as part of a team
