Senior Quantity Surveyor
Large Civil Engineering contractor are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for an exciting opportunity as part of the Project team delivering the first nuclear plant in over 20 years. Based in Bristol, this role will involve QS contract management for the delivery of services & materials to site concrete and earthworks contracts.
The role will include compliance with NEC3 type contracts, ensuring key contract triggers are followed, monitoring compensation events and early warnings with the various clients. Experience of Civils, Infrastructure, Highways, familiarity with NEC or ICE form of contract is highly desirable for the role.
The successful applicant will work as part of a small team and a hands on approach is a must. Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to produce accurate monthly cost and value reports and financial forecasts for project ranging between £1M & £6M projects.
Desirable applicants will also have experience of allocating and implementing multi-million pound sub contracts, measurement and valuation, being able to negotiate with clients and sub contractors, resolving disputes, final accounts etc.
Knowledge of value engineering and preparing procurement schedules would also be advantageous. Support may also be offered for memberership of the RICS and will work with employees to advance membership if not already chartered.
