Data Integration Analyst Cardiff (£30,000 - £40,000)

We're currently working with an innovative technology company keen to bring in a candidate with ETL development experience and is interested in learning big data technology including Spark, Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive and Pig.
The role will break down to ultimately being a 50 50 split between data integration and data analysis no two days will be the same and successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with large data sets of up to a billion records per day.

The company specialise in developing and bringing to market, next generation, cutting edge software applications giving marketers the ability to track the consumer journey, from watching a TV commercial and visiting that brand online, right the way through to entering a store and making a purchase.

You must be able to articulate complex technical information to non-technical people at all levels. Responsibilities in this role will be varied however will include -
• Development of ETL processes to transform data and load into self-service portals.
• Create insightful visualisations from very large data sets.
• Communicate face-to-face with end stakeholders and gain insights about their needs.
• Working closely with the Data Analytics and tech teams to transform the data for use in modelling and visualisations.
• Carry out due diligence on new data sets, working closely with development and architecture.

Applicants should be interested in identifying/analysing trends we're also looking for -
• Commercial experience with any ETL tools (the company use Matillion and candidates will be fully trained in this experience in something like integration services is absolutely fine)
• Data manipulation and extraction skills using SQL.
• Experience in analysing data sets
