Digital Architect - Banking

I am currently working with a Retail Bank that is currently recruiting for a Digital Architect to join them on a permanent basis. Based in Central London, you will be working in a lean team of Architects responsible for both laying out the technical strategic direction of the bank and project specific architectural guidance. As a result, this role will have aspects of Enterprise Architecture alongside aspects of Solutions Architecture for new Digital Solutions that the Bank will be creating

Success in this role will look like you being the single, initial technical point of contact for all Digital projects in the Bank, with the internal delivery teams, actively looking for your guidance on the best way to deliver the change. You will also have made key contributions to the Group Technology roadmap.

Although neither Banking or Financial Services experience is beneficial, it is not essential for this post. What is essential for this post is a strong understanding of the core fundamental architecture concepts, experience working at an Enterprise organisation and experience delivering Digital Solutions.

  • Help align IT strategy and planning with company's business goals, particularly in the Digital space
  • Help maintain and develop the architectural artifacts required for the bank to fully understand and optimise its' IT Landscape.
  • Ensure changes in the Digital space align with group IT strategies and roadmaps
  • Ensure Digital projects meet business & technical requirements across the bank
  • Technology Lifecycle - Develop understanding of the full hardware and software estate in order to identify potential opportunities for investments
  • Work with Business Analysts to provide designs and architecture to reach a consensus based solution that is scalable, adaptable and fit for purpose
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest technologies available in the Digital domain and develop an understanding of how these can best be incorporated into the existing estate
