European Account Executive Big Data & Machine Learning Sales London Up to £250k OTE

My client is an international business which offers Data Science as a service to various clients across the world, enabling users to build and deploy highly accurate machine learning models with unmatched levels of automation and ease. They are a true Data Science business which was founded by Data Scientists and only recruits the very best in the field, resulting in a highly skilled team containing three ex-number 1 Kaggle Grandmasters.
The UK & Europe is seen as a high growth area for the business and although there is a small team currently based in London, they are looking to grow this significantly throughout 2017. In the UK they service a very diverse client base in terms of domain however their core focus still remains the insurance/banking sector.
The European Account Executive Role
This is a revenue generating role -- you will be measured on increasing the number of opportunities, customer base and revenue through partners. We're seeking someone experienced in complex selling situations to both very technical customers as well as C-Level and other decision makers. You'll be comfortable selling an advanced analytics solution that empowers organizations to solve their most difficult data science problems. Typically sales cycles will be 6-9 months in length with an average value of £200k as an opener, you must have experience of working with these values and time frames. You’ll collaborate with a passionate team and work with industry leaders within the field of Predictive Analytics. You will be building pipelines, opening doors, navigating complex organizational structures and negotiating and closing partner-led deals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and drive territory / account sales plans for assigned geographic territory and then meet and exceed sales goals through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities.
- Work closely with Product Management, Sales Engineering, and Data Scientists, to allocate the appropriate resources throughout the sales cycle.
- Maintain an understanding of key industry trends and competitive issues and products.
- Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers and support staff.
- Provide regular reporting of pipeline and accurate forecasts through salesforce.com.
The right person for this role will be a proven leader of business development and sales in the technology/software/analytics industry. You will have a proven record of high achievement in sales roles with vast experienced selling to Fortune 100 organisations. You will have demonstrable pipeline generation experience, particularly building a multi-faceted territory plan.
Culture and personality fit is incredibly important for this role, you will be an aggressive salesperson who has the gravitas to build something new. Experience in a start-up environment is vital for this role as is an entrepreneurial mind-set, you will consider yourself a self-starter who can work autonomously.
