Our client is looking for healthcare assistants to help support adults living with a learning disability or autism in specialist hospitals and residential services in the Dundee area.

The purpose of the role is to make a positive difference to the people and their families by delivering person-centered health and social care that helps our clients service users to fulfil the things they want out of life.

Our client likes to set high standards for all of their staff teams and are looking for people who are compassionate, trustworthy and resilient but most importantly, put the service user at the centre of all they do.

So what will the job involve?
You will undertake work that is meaningful to our clients service users and socially important within the local community - working for our client will provide you with the opportunity to support vulnerable adults - some of which may present with challenging behaviour - achieve their goals.

The main focus of the role will be to provide safe, sound and supportive care to the people who use our service. You will have key working relationships with the nursing and multidisciplinary teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, including service users' families and loved ones.

As a key member of the support team, you may be required to contribute to service user multidisciplinary meetings.

As a role model to our clients service users, you will ensure the day to day care they receive is dignified and respectful and in accordance with their care plans.

So what qualifications and attributes do you need?

* You would need to be a compassionate, understanding and trustworthy
* Health and Social Care QCF or SVQ would be beneficial
* Previous experience would be beneficial but not essential
