JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Junior IT Engineer / 1st Line Helpdesk Support Analyst that has some experience of 1st line support and looking to progress into a 2nd line support role.

Working as the Junior IT Engineer / 1st Line Helpdesk Support Analyst you will join a fast-growing logistics business with offices UK wide. You will join the wider IT Team supporting all system Users that have IT issues or system queries within a Help Desk environment.

As the Junior IT Engineer / 1st Line Helpdesk Support Analyst you will perform a broad range of technical, troubleshooting or professional work activities in relation to issues with systems, data and system integrations.

The Company is currently developing a specialist cloud based software application which will be used to centralise vast amounts of key data, improve efficiency and streamline the service. Part of your role will be to liaise with the Software Development Team and the Chief Operations Officer to fully understand the systems functionality and assist the Company’s franchisee owners in transferring over their data to the new system.

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS


• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Windows operating systems and remote control tools, Microsoft Office Suite (including Microsoft Excel)

• Some 2nd Line Help Desk experience would be useful

• Is an efficient and conscientious record keeper, with good communication skills, and a methodical approach to problem solving, using appropriate tools

• Has a good inter-personal skill. Is well organised and practical with a logical, analytical approach to problem solving. Pays careful, close attention to detail

• Has good oral communication skills and takes an analytical approach to problem solving

• Has good knowledge and experience of using Macros

• Has experience and knowledge of using database applications

• Although not essential any experience working with MS Access, MySQL or other types of database for the purpose of uploading / downloading data, mapping fields etc.

• Understanding of basic programming is an advantage, although not essential

• Junior level candidates will be considered
